What time would do we have access to the facility room?
The hall that you book will be available the day of your event at least 2 hours before your event. If there is nothing taking place before hand, you can come in when the room is ready.

Is there free parking?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking available.

How much parking is available?
There are 175 spaces in the back parking lot, as well as parking in the circle (including handicap).

Is there bus service to your location?
There are currently no local city transportation to Orchard View. However, we will gladly provide a shuttle service to & from any local Ottawa location/hotel.

Is the function space equipped with Audio Visual equipment?
There is currently to a/v set-up in the function space. We would be happy to provide it for you or you are welcome to bring in your own equipment, provided there is no damage to our facility.

Do you know of any nearby hotels for out of town guests?
Yes, there are hotels in the area; Country View Manor B&B, Southway Inn, Old Virginia Manor, Stoneywood Bed & Breakfast, Adam’s Airport Inn, Days Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn Express & Monterey Inn. Please click on the directions link for exact locations

Is there a small private office/lounge for the team leader(s)?
Yes, there are rooms available, located on the upper level of the building (accessible by stairs only). This room can be booked for the entire day for the leader(s) to prepare, refresh, meet with a small group with internet access.

How many guests can Orchard View accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 600 theatre/cocktail style and 400 banquet style seated guests in the Grandview room.

Does Orchard View have catering or do we have to bring our own?
Orchard View is a fully licensed facility & we can take care of all your food & beverage needs.

My company has a strict budget to maintain. Can you accommodate?
You should find that Orchard View has competitive pricing. However, if you have a budget to maintain, simply let us know and we'll do our best to work within the allotted amount, based on your preferences.

I don’t see anything I like in the menu. Do you have any other choices?
Yes, the menu is simply a list of suggestions based on our guests’ preferences in the past. Orchard View would be happy to create a custom menu based on your preferences.

What about guests with allergies?
Orchard View would be glad to provide your guests with specially designated meals. Diabetic, gluten-free, nut-free is typical and no problem.

Are there special meals for vegans/vegetarians?
Orchard View can easily accommodate vegan/vegetarian dishes. Most popular choices are tofu stir fry, sautéed vegetables on a bed of rice, vegetarian lasagna & pasta primavera.

I can’t have MSG!
Orchard View is proud to inform you that we are an MSG free kitchen.

Is there a service/gratuity fee? If so, how much is it?
Yes, there is a service/gratuity fee. All facilities can charge a service fee. Our fee is 15%.

How would I go about booking an event at Orchard View?
In order to book an event at Orchard View we would require a signed contract, and 25% or $1,000 (whichever is greater) of your total package.

How do the payments work for a conference?
The payments are as follows: 25% or $1,000 (whichever is greater) of your total package within 14 days of booking with Orchard View. The remaining 75% is due within 30 days after the event date (on approved credit).

Can there be more than 1 party occurring at the same time of my event?
Orchard View has multiple facility rooms. These rooms have their own entrance, washroom & bar. If there is an event occurring at the same time Orchard View has taken all the precautions to ensure that the parties do not meet (parking lot & grounds excluded).

Is there a room rental fee?
Yes, there is a room rental fee (can be discounted, based on date& package purchased). This fee is includes set-up tear-down, white linens skirted to the floor, tablecloths, napkins, tables, banquet chairs, Royal Doulton China & Silverware & glassware.

Do I have to pay for Servers?
The servers are included in the cost of the event. If you would like to add supplementary servers there is an additional fee per server.

Who will I speak to regarding any questions that I have?
There is an assigned event coordinator to help you with all of your questions, preparation, meal planning, floor plans, etc… If they are not available any questions can be directed to the qualified office staff.

Who will I speak to on the day of my event?
Each event will have an assigned banquet manager. They are in charge of the entire evening. They are dressed in a suit & are available to anyone, specifically the event convenor.
